Amityville Horror House up for sale
The house that has become an icon to fans of the horror genre and ghost enthusiasts Is now up for sale. Unfortunately, it was recently remodeled so horror fans and ghost enthusiasts may no longer recognize the house. They apparently got annoyed with all the ghost hunters traveling to Amityville, NY looking for the house, so they remodeled the home and changed the address number to confuse would-be ghost hunters.
The house is famous for being purchased by the Lutze family who claimed to experience such horrors as the walls and ceilings oozing slime, having doors torn from the hinges, and seeing demonic apparitions. The family supposedly fled the house in terror and then sold their story to Author Jay Anson. Many claim that the Amityville horror story is a hoax created by Anson and the Lutze family to make money, while others still claim the haunting was real. Now you can find out if you have $1.5 million dollars to purchase the home.
Bigfoot Lives in Minnesota?
The Bigfoot Society based in northern Minnesota say that they have received 75 photos, footprints, and sightings of Bigfoot over the past three years. This has lead them to believe that there really is something strange roaming in the woods of Minnesota. While many skeptics say that this evidence is dismissible, but the founders of the bigfoot society, Don Sherman and Bob Olson say that it is “110%” real.
Many combat these claims by asking for skeletal evidence of this large creature. If there is a population of these animals we should have stumbled upon a corpse by now right? Well trackers and hunters in the Minnesota area never report finding the skeletal remains of wolves, bears, or other large creature native to Minnesota, so the absence of skeletal remains of existing animals is not rare says Olson and Sherman.
UFO Filmed in the UK
I have personally stumbled across a ton of news stories of purported UFO sightings, photos, and films. It is hard to discern what is a hoax, a case of mistaken identity, or something truly unusual. This video recently showed up on Youtube and was reportedly recorded by a BBC journalist on his cell phone camera in Stourbridge, UK. This appears to be something strange.
The UFO Hacker
Gary McKinnon, popularly known as the “UFO hacker” on the Internet, extradition to the United States from his native England has been put on hold. Home Secretary Theresa May made the call to halt the extradition process while she reviews the case. McKinnon’s lawyers are fighting to keep the trial in Britain on lesser charges.
McKinnon was arrested in 2002 after American prosecutors accused him of hacking into military computer systems, NASA, and The Department of Defense. His action caused $700,000 worth of damages according to US officials as well as exposing weak points in America’s cyber defense, which is very dangerous in a post 9/11 America. His motivation for hacking into these top-secret computer systems was that he was looking for information that US government had on UFOs and extraterrestrials.
In a 2006 interview with Wired magazine, McKinnon claims he succeeded in finding the US government’s secrets on UFOS. He says he came across documents such as the supposed “Disclosure Project” that detailed over 400 testimonials from government and military workers and officials detailing sightings and the reverse engineering of recovered extraterrestrial technology. Among McKinnon’s other claims is that he found photographic evidence of alien life when he hacked NASA’s systems. He claims to have discovered the existence of a Building 8 at the Johnson Space Station that is dedicated to airbrushing UFOs out of NASA photographs he also says he has seen some of these untouched photos.
If McKinnon is convicted he could face up to 70 years in prison.
Druids used to Reduce Car Accidents in Austria
Highway officials in Austria have hired druids to full time jobs in hopes that they will help reduce car crashes on several accident-prone areas. The officials hired the druids for a one time job in a last ditch effort to reduce accidents on a particularly dangerous section of highway. The druids said that they return the “terrestrial radiation” to the deadly sections of the roads. Surprisingly it seems to be working, as there has been no accident on that section of road since.
After the success of their first job, officials gained the confidence to hire them to full time positions to cleanse more dangerous sections of roads. Officials said that they were at first embarrassed by their actions but the results have been so positive that they now have no qualms with going public with their hiring of druids. One section of road went from having an average of six fatal car accidents a year to having none. It is said that the druids use dowsing rods to search for negative radiation and then cleanse the area of the energy. This seems to have drastically reduced the number of fatal car crashes.
Security Camera In Britain Captures Ghostly Image
Staff at the New Lanark Mill Hotel is convinced that they have captured a ghost on one of their security cameras. The startling footage was capture May 12 in a rear parking lot. In between the time 1:30-3:00 AM a ghostly figure appears, disappears, and reappears in the bottom left corner of the security footage.
New Lanark is a restored British village founded in 1785. It is rich in both national history and paranormal history. Staff members at the New Lanark Mill Hotel have been saying there was a strong paranormal force in the hotel for years, and now they believe they have video evidence to back up their claims.
Another Security Camera in Britain Captures Poltergeist
In another ghost related story out of Britain, a pint glass in a UK pub was caught sliding across a table and falling on to the floor, as if it was pushed by unseen force, on the pubs security camera. The 14th century pub located in Gloucester has had a storied history of paranormal activity, but none has yet to be caught on video until now. The coverage of this story has caused many paranormal investigators to set their sights on the pub.
The footage has yet to make its way online and was only reported by local news mediums, I will keep an eye on the situation and pass along the video when it becomes available.
Newfoundland Government says UFO still a Mystery
A UFO spotted in January in the country of Newfoundland remains a mystery even with the government’s extensive investigation into the sighting. One witness claimed to see three of the objects soaring over the ocean off the coast of Newfoundland and says that they came out of the water. Government documents pertaining to the sighting were recently released to the public it contained photos of the mysterious rocket-like object. The report rules out missiles and model rockets as the identity of the UFO. Military experts have also said that it is not a ballistic or cruise missile either. The document also states that there were no navy ships and no Canadian forces involved. So what is this mysterious object?
